No manual building. No developer tools. No complicated setup.

🍎 Bullion256 Core Wallet RC1 for MacOS

The new Bullion256 Core Wallet RC1 is a fully branded MacOS wallet release designed to make joining the network simple and fast.

What it includes

  • Branded Bullion256 wallet GUI 🪙
  • Bundled Bullion256 daemon ⚙️
  • Automatic node startup and connection 🌐
  • Wallet creation and wallet loading 👛
  • Automatic receive address generation 📩
  • Send and receive support 💸
  • Balance and recent transaction display 📊
  • Wallet backup, encrypt, unlock, and restore tools 🔐

This means Mac users can go from download to live wallet and mining-ready setup in just minutes.

⚠️ Important MacOS Installation Note

To install the wallet correctly, follow the release notes exactly.

Correct install method

  1. Download Bullion256Wallet-mac-RC1.zip
  2. Open the ZIP
  3. Open the included .dmg
  4. Drag or copy Bullion256Wallet.app into your Applications folder
  5. Launch the app from Applications

Do not do this

  • Do not run the app directly from Downloads
  • Do not run the app directly from the mounted .dmg

If the app is launched from a temporary location, macOS App Translocation can cause the wallet folder and daemon paths to load incorrectly.

Running from Applications ensures stable behavior and correct folder handling.

If MacOS shows a security warning

Go to:

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

Then launch the wallet again from Applications.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Install the wallet

Download the MacOS wallet release, open the ZIP, mount the .dmg, and move Bullion256Wallet.app into Applications.

2. Launch Bullion256Wallet

Open the app from Applications. The embedded Bullion256 daemon will start automatically.

3. Create your wallet

On first launch, enter a wallet name.

If the app says the wallet does not exist, click Yes to create it.

Recommended wallet naming:

  • lowercase letters only
  • numbers allowed
  • underscores or dashes allowed

Examples:

  • mywallet1
  • secure_miner
  • treasury-wallet

4. Get your receive address

Once the wallet is created, Bullion256 will automatically generate your first receive address and display it in the wallet.

5. Configure your miner

Use your Bullion256 receive address in your miner configuration and connect to the official pool.

6. Start mining

Once connected, your miner will begin contributing hashpower to the Bullion256 network ⛏️

🛠️ What the Wallet Does Automatically

Bullion256 Core Wallet RC1 is designed to reduce setup friction and get users into the network fast.

Automatic behavior includes

  • starts the bundled bullion256d daemon automatically
  • creates or detects config files automatically
  • loads the selected wallet automatically
  • generates a first receive address for new wallets automatically
  • connects to the network automatically

That means no source build, no manual daemon launch, and no advanced setup just to get started.

📌 Good to Know

Refresh button

The wallet GUI shows chain height and balances at launch, but full sync may still be in progress.

Use the Refresh button after the node syncs to update:

  • chain height
  • balances
  • recent activity

Daemon behavior

Closing the wallet window does not automatically stop the daemon.

The daemon may continue running in the background until the Mac shuts down or it is manually stopped.

Shutdown note

Normal Mac shutdown is generally safe, but during heavy activity you may prefer to fully close the wallet and stop the daemon manually first.
